Kremlin welcomes Trump's stance on US missile use
Last November, the US Biden administration authorized Ukraine to send American ATACMS missiles into Russian territory. A decision that didn't please Donald Trump.
On Thursday, in an article for Time, the American president-elect said he was “strongly opposed” to the use of American long-range ATACMS missiles by Ukrainian armed forces on Russian territory, insisting that “we're only escalating this war and making it worse”.
The position was warmly welcomed by the Kremlin. Donald Trump's decision “is totally in line with our position, and [his] vision of the causes of the escalation is also in line with ours [...] It's obvious that Trump understands what is causing the situation to escalate”, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
