“Beware of provocations on NATO's borders” (Ukrainian General Staff)
Russia isn't content with sabotaging cables in Europe. The Kremlin could resort to provocations at the borders of NATO countries, according to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak.
In his opinion, European and NATO countries should take into account the risk of hybrid threats on their borders.
"The emergence of North Korean soldiers disguised in Russian uniforms is realistic if Russia isn't stopped now. North Korea's military is already fighting in Europe. Who would have thought of that before?” said Mr. Yermak.
He points out that the phantom fleet, which sabotages cables in Europe, may not be the only such threat emanating from Russia.
“Impunity breeds permissiveness. Now is the time to take strong decisions and measures,” he declared.
