Moscow attack: bomb was hidden in electric scooter
On Tuesday, Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his associate were killed in an attack in Moscow.
The explosive was hidden in an electric scooter. Meanwhile, several anonymous Ukrainian security sources have already said they were behind the targeted attack. The electric scooter was standing at the building where the Russian lieutenant general and his associate were. Just as they were leaving the building, the bomb was detonated. So reports Svetlana Petrenko, spokesperson for the Russian Federal Investigative Committee, and Russian media. The attack took place at a central location in southeastern Moscow, about 6.5 km east of the Kremlin. The bomb was reportedly detonated from a distance. So reports Russian state news agency Tass.
Ukrainian security services have confirmed to both Reuters and BBC that they are behind the “special operation”, as they call it, in Moscow.
Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was responsible for the use of banned chemical weapons in Ukraine.
Putin's ally and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitri Medvedev has already responded, saying Russia will retaliate against Ukraine's leaders. So reports Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
