Putin humiliated in Syria

Russian forces stationed in Syria are reportedly fleeing as Syrian rebels have retaken the city of Aleppo.

The insurgents, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, have dealt a significant blow to Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin after swiftly reclaiming the country’s second-largest city.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian troops in the area have suffered substantial losses since fighting resumed. Hundreds of soldiers are said to be missing, while others have fled Hama in an attempt to return to their airbase.

Adding to this setback, the rebels seized five fighter jets at the Kuweires airbase near Aleppo.

Colonel General Alexander Zhuravlyov, head of the Russian headquarters in Khmeimim, acknowledged that the situation in Syria has spiraled out of control.
