Putin wants to create an alliance of countries to challenge NATO
Vladimir Putin wants to surround himself with enemies of the United States. According to experts, he wants to create a coalition of countries to present it as "an alternative to NATO".
Putin said that Vietnam, like North Korea, shares the Russian Federation's views on the formation of a new system of "equal and indivisible Eurasian security".
In May, during a visit to China, Putin began talking about some kind of "Eurasian security structure". In a speech in June, he proposed it, saying that "the Euro-Atlantic security system is collapsing and Western projects for prosperity in Europe aren't working".
According to analysts, Putin is trying to create a coalition of countries that he could present as a real alternative to NATO. He also wants to create the illusion that only Western countries support Ukraine, while the rest of the world supports the Russian Federation.
