Trump wants to talk with Putin and Zelensky to stop the “carnage”
On Monday, during a press conference, the White House's future tenant expressed his desire to speak with both the head of the Kremlin and the Ukrainian leader.
The disired discussion would aim to stop the "carnage" of the war in Ukraine. "We're going to talk to President Putin and we're going to talk to Zelensky and [the] representatives of Ukraine. We have to stop this, it's carnage," Donald Trump declared from his Florida residence.
Asked about the Ukrainian territories that could be the subject of negotiations as part of a ceasefire and future peace, he stressed: "A lot of this territory, when you look at what's happened... There are cities where there's not a building standing, it's a demolition site (...) So people can't go back to these cities, there's nothing left."
