Ukraine draws up action plan with European countries
President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to discuss Ukraine's NATO membership at end-of-war contact group meeting.
Zelensky announced the creation of a new contact group and its first meeting with several European partners.
“One of the topics of this meeting, one of the items on the agenda, will undoubtedly be the issue we're discussing, the membership application and the question of security guarantees for Ukraine until it joins NATO, as well as other issues, including military support for Ukraine,” said the deputy head of the presidential office.
These issues were also raised at a recent meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron and newly-elected US President Donald Trump.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had already organized a new contact group. So far, several European countries have joined the group, which will work to develop a unified position on ending the war.
Later, the Ukrainian president's press secretary, Serhiy Nykyforov, said that although Ukraine had organized a new contact group to end the war, the list of participants was still being drawn up.
