Ukrainian chops up Russian to "save her soul"

Both Ukraine and Russia are involved in this terrible case.

A man of Ukrainian descent allegedly murdered a young Russian woman at a spiritual therapy institute in Peru. He then cut off her limbs.

The victim, Liudmila Lazarenko, a 44-year-old Russian woman, had befriended her killer, Ivan Kuzmin. Ivan Kuzmin was from Ukraine and was 38 years old. At the time of the events, which were indescribably barbaric, Ivan Kuzmin was allegedly taking hallucinogenic drugs.

During the hearing, the man confessed to his misdeeds. He stated that he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the murder. He allegedly ingested hallucinogenic mushrooms and ayahuasca, a traditional drink containing natural psychotropic substances, reports the media channel Linfo.re. His motivation? The victim was possessed by a demon and he just wanted to "save her soul". According to Llesenia del Mar, the provincial prosecutor for Peru's Upper Amazon, the suspect was found in a "confused state" in the victim's bedroom, armed with a knife.

At the request of the prosecutor, Ivan Kuzmin was remanded in custody. This precautionary measure was requested for a period of 9 months in order to conduct the investigation. At the same time, the therapy center was closed.
