No 101 but 19 puppies from brave dalmatian
Dalmatian Perdita has equalled the world record in the small Walloon town of Cuesmes (Belgium).
The courageous mother was named after the female lead character from the famous Disney classic ‘101 Dalmatians’ and so the resemblance clearly does not stop there. Of course, she did not give birth to 101 puppies, but she did match the world record with her 19-headed offspring.
The average litter of a Dalmatian is around 7 puppies, but supermother Perdita duis went well over that.
In 2019 in Australia, a Dalmatian named Melody gave birth to a whopping 19 puppies, good for the world record at the time. And so Belgian Perdita has now equalled that record.
