Trump's unexpected, secret weapon: richer and more reach than anyone else
Since Joe Biden's surrender, things have not looked good for the Democrats, while Donald Trump is getting closer and closer to returning to the White House.
Trump already seems to have the support of someone with a huge reach on social media, and let that be essential to winning souls just in 2024.
The Republican presidential candidate sat down Monday for a two-hour interview with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. The entire interview, after a lot of technical difficulties, was streamed on Musk's social media platform X.
Statistics showed that with moments, as many as 1.3 million people were watching the interview live on X.
The world's richest person Elon Musk announced his support for Trump shortly after the failed assassination attempt on the Republican leader, this despite the Republican's opposition to government support for electric carmakers like Tesla. Musk supported Democratic President Joe Biden in 2020, but has since moved to the right.
"I think we're at a crossroads of destiny, of civilization, and I think we need to take the right path, and I think you're the right path," he told Trump as the interview concluded.
