Trump will throw 15 to 20 million people out of the U.S.

The Republican camp has made it one of its key program items: a tough crackdown on illegal immigration into the United States.

Donald Trump has already heavily lashed out countless times at anyone who has immigrated to the U.S. in recent decades. He does not mention the fact that the United States was founded by immigrants. After all, he wants to make today's American with foreign roots an enemy of the state. This is evident from his many racist statements in recent days, weeks, months and years.

Trump repeated it many times and Sunday night in New York he also played to the whipped up crowd with striking statements. He will initiate the largest deportation in American history, he stressed. It will involve 15 to 20 million people who will then be deported from the United States, Trump said. And he will initiate that process as early as Day 1 of his presidency, it sounds.

An analysis by the American Immigration Council, a nonprofit advocacy group, shows that it would cost $315 billion and take at least 10 years to deport everyone living in the U.S. illegally.

During a campaign earlier this month in Aurora, Colo, Trump said he would use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 “to target and dismantle any criminal immigrant network operating on American soil.”

The ex-president further said he would send “elite teams” of federal law enforcement officers to “track down, arrest and deport” any migrant gang member. Those who attempt to return to the U.S. would face 10 years in prison without parole, he said, adding that any migrant who kills a U.S. citizen or law enforcement officer would face the death penalty.
