Man with canon intercepted at Belgian-German border
During a check at the border from Belgium to Germany, German police on Monday stopped a man who had a canon strapped to his trailer.
The 60-year-old German claimed he was a collector and had bought the gun in Belgium. However, in order not to be in violation, the weapon admittedly must have been completely disabled. Police confiscated the weapon and are now investigating whether the man violated the German law on weapons of war. The man had wrapped the barrel of the gun in plastic film.
