Mystery still surrounds unknown drones seen in American skies
For several weeks now, residents of the northeastern US state of New Jersey have been worried about the presence of strange drones in the sky, especially over sensitive infrastructures. So far, no one seems to know where these mysterious devices are coming from.
Light signals, accompanied by unfamiliar buzzing sounds, are currently invading the skies over New Jersey. Some residents say they're flabbergasted by the appearance of devices, which are larger than an amateur drone and smaller than an airplane, reports Franceinfo.
Flying over sensitive sites
An American resident wonders: “I'm outside, I have the proof right in front of me. They're flying over my house. What the hell is this?” According to several witnesses, the drones are flying over important sites such as a water reservoir, a military base or even one of President-elect Donald Trump's golf courses.
Rumors swell
The case is being taken very seriously by the sheriff of Ocean County (New Jersey), who knows neither the nature nor the origin of these aircraft. For his part, Congressman Jeff Van Drew considers the overflight of these drones to be Iranian manipulation. The Iranians are believed to have launched them from a ship off the coast of the United States. However, the rumor was quickly denied by the Pentagon, which insists that the drones pose no risk to American security.
