Australian spends 30 days locked in the dark: Details traumatizes the web
Norme, a 19-year-old Australian youtuber, decided to spend 30 days in complete darkness.
The young man embarked on his adventure on October 16. His goal? For the Guinness Book to validate his record (and, let's face it, for the number of views on his Youtube channel to skyrocket).
The youtuber filmed himself in a tiny, darkened room, allowing 1.5 million subscribers to follow his daily life live, 24 hours a day. One small detail catches their attention, causing a great deal of concern.
After 20 days of confinement, the Australian began to behave strangely. He suddenly started screaming and head-butting a wall, reports Demotivateur. Norme even started eating pieces of the wall.
Commentary space saturated
The video clip hasn't left the web indifferent. “Is he okay?”, “Isn't there anyone to stop him?”, “I'm very worried”, said comments online. And while some were quick to express their concern, others were convinced that the streamer was putting on an act, just to boost his view and subscriber count.
"He's just looking for attention. I've spent months in real solitary confinement and it's not that bad," commented one Internet user.
Norme's no stranger to solitary confinement, having also spent 265 hours without closing his eyes, keeping himself awake by using a broom to hit himself and by flooding himself with cold water. An experiment he had, of course, filmed and posted online.
