Captivating match: Prisoners considered highly dangerous take advantage of the opportunity to escape
Last Saturday, two inmates at the Picassent prison, near Valencia in Spain, managed to escape. A soccer match between FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid certainly helped them in their escape.
All eyes in the prison, including those of the guards, were on the sporting event. Taking advantage of this moment of distraction, two male inmates aged 39 and 43 escaped from the prison using a rope made of knotted sheets to slide down a wall of the establishment, reports Las Provincias. The two prisoners managed to cut through the bars of their cell window, then enter areas without an alarm and break open a door to get out.
The escapees, who are among the prisoners guilty of the most serious crimes and therefore considered highly dangerous, are being actively sought.
