Dutch teens make hole in wall between rooms to avoid using hallway
A party holiday by some teenagers got very out of hand in Majorca. They demolished the three-star hotel.
During their stay, the Dutch youths, aged 18 to 20, made a big hole in the wall between two rooms and molested a television. They said they made the big hole in the wall to avoid using the corridor. Consequently, the hole allowed them to step from one room into the other adjoining room. In a third room, several devices, including a TV screen, were completely destroyed, Spanish media 'Diario de Mallorca' and 'Última Hora' write, based on Spanish police.
The vandalism took place at the MLL Palma Bay Club Resort along Playa de Palma. The group of wanton Dutchmen consisted of nine friends. Cleaning staff discovered the vandalism Sunday morning when the youngsters had already left without checking out.
With the help of airport police, the nine youths were found and arrested as they were about to board their flight to Schiphol Airport.
On Monday morning, the Dutch boys already appeared in court. They chose not to make a statement. The judge eventually decided to release the boys on bail. However, they are not allowed to leave the country yet. Only when the compensation is paid in full will they get their passports back. Converted, the Dutch have to pay just over 200 euros per person. On top of that, there may be a fine imposed by the police.
