Kim Jong Un oversees training of troops sent to Russia
Kim Jong Un is personally supervising the training of troops being sent to Russia before their deployment to Ukraine.
According to South Korean intelligence, the North Korean leader is closely monitoring the exercises, even as his forces have already suffered losses in Russia’s Kursk region—reportedly around 100 men, as confirmed by Seoul.
South Korean lawmaker Lee Seong-kweun said that 100 North Korean soldiers have already died, with the total casualties nearing 1,000. Lawmakers were also informed that North Korea is preparing to send another contingent to Russia, and Kim Jong-Un himself is overseeing the preparations.
Ukraine claims that between 10,000 and 12,000 North Korean troops have already been sent to Russia, with most stationed in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces continue to hold strong positions.
North Korea is also accused of supplying artillery shells and missiles to Russia.
