Weapon that Putin shouldn't have terrifies Ukraine
Russia recently shared a video showing a Soviet Union weapon that was used during World War II.
It is a D-74 howitzer, dating from the 1940s. It was quickly replaced by the M-46 cannon, which had a much greater range than its predecessor, reports Midi Libre. Russia had thus liquidated its stocks of D-74s by sending them, in particular, to Vietnam and China, countries allied to the Soviet Union. And it's for this reason that there is concern about seeing this weapon reappear on the battlefield. It was recently used to attack Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region.
In Ukraine, the general opinion is that North Korea is suspected of having delivered this howitzer to Moscow.
