Name of alleged Chinese spy linked to Prince Andrew revealed
The name of a suspected Chinese spy who reportedly had ties with Prince Andrew has been revealed by the British High Court of Justice.
Yang Tengbo, initially known under the pseudonym "H6" to protect his identity, confirmed that he was indeed a spy and had instructed his lawyers to disclose his name publicly due to ongoing « speculation".
Last year, the UK upheld a court ruling barring the Chinese spy from entering its territory.
The businessman, also known as Chris Yang, had appealed this decision before the Immigration Appeals Commission.
To this day, it remains unclear how the Chinese spy and the member of the royal family met. In court, Yang Tengbo revealed that he had been invited to Prince Andrew’s birthday celebration in 2020 and had been granted permission to negotiate, on hid behalf, with potential Chinese investors.
The following year, the Chinese national was stopped by British customs under suspicion of engaging in hostile activities.
