Alarming messages from the captured perpetrator of the Christmas market attack

The “indiscriminate slaughter of German civilians” as a “path to justice” is what the perpetrator of the attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, that killed an adult and a toddler on Friday, spoke of on social media several months ago. That remarkable detail is now emerging in the investigation into the horrific act of terror, Daily Mail writes.

The perpetrator drove a dark BMW into visitors at the Christmas market in Magdeburg on Friday night. As many as two hundred people suffered injuries in the process. German authorities identified the perpetrator as 50-year-old psychologist Taleb A., who arrived in Germany as a refugee from Saudi Arabia in 2006. Police were able to arrest the man immediately Friday evening at the scene of the attack.

And so the perpetrator appears to have been planning the attack for some time. So says a disturbing message he posted on social media. “Is there a path to justice in Germany without bombing a German embassy or indiscriminately slaughtering German citizens?” he wondered aloud on August 21 on X. ”I've been looking for this peaceful path since January 2019 and I haven't found it yet. If anyone knows, please show me the way.” These were the words of the perpetrator a few months before the attack on the German Christmas market.
