“There's a lack of willingness to address Russia's concerns” (Peskov)
The Kremlin has replied to US President Donald Trump that the conflict in Ukraine doesn't depend on the price of oil, Russia's main export.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that the conflict is due to the threat to the national security of the Russian Federation, the threat to Russians living in the Donbas and the “unwillingness and total refusal of Americans and Europeans to address Russia's concerns”.
The Kremlin said on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to meet his US counterpart Donald Trump, after the American leader said he was ready to do so “immediately".
“Putin is ready. We're waiting for signals. Everyone is ready,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told his daily press conference call.
