The Russian government has announced that Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will hold a series of bilateral meetings this week, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, including a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
It will be their first meeting in two and a half years, shortly after Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.
Russian presidential aide, Yuri Ushakov, said Putin also plans to meet with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Palestinian Mahmud Abbas, South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa, Egypt’s Abdelfatá al Sisi and Iran’s Masud Pazeshkian, among others.
