Shockwave in Ukraine: Russian flames eat away an entire city
On Monday, Ukraine claimed to have been target of a massive drone attack.
On Sunday night, 110 drones targeted the town of Ternopil in western Ukraine. According to the authorities, one person was killed and three injured.
Being a long way from Kiev (over 350 kilometers southwest of the capital), Ternopil is not usually affected by Russian attacks. Following the strike, “a large-scale fire broke out” in the town, said the emergency services. The shock wave damaged windows of nearby buildings, a school and 20 cars”, they added.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 52 of the 110 drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense.
