This new threat is making NATO tremble
Moscow is preparing to launch a wave of major cyberattacks against NATO members, which could leave millions without electricity.
According to Cabinet Office Minister Pat McFadden, Russia is "exceptionally aggressive and reckless" when it comes to cyberattacks, prompting him to urge NATO members to prepare for potential remote strikes.
"Given the scale of that hostility, my message to members today is clear: No one should underestimate the Russian cyber-threat to NATO," he said.
These remarks come as tensions between the military alliance and Russia escalated last week. Washington and London authorized Ukraine to use their long-range missiles on Russian soil, while Moscow fired a medium-range intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.
Pat McFadden warned that Russia is now ready to target national infrastructure at any moment.
