"Nothing seems to indicate an explosion on board"

27 November 2024 08:33 About four kilometers from Vilnius airport, the cargo plane of the Spanish Swiftair, which flew on behalf of courier company DHL, already hit the ground. The plane slid several hundred meters along the ground and hit an apartment building, after which a fire broke out. The residents of the building were able to be evacuated in extremis and escaped death. The Spanish pilot of the plane did not survive the impact. Three other crew members, from Spain, Germany and Lithuania, were taken to hospital with injuries. Aviation experts call the fact that they are still alive “a miracle”.

Breakthrough thanks to audio clip of crashed DHL plane?

26 November 2024 14:33 Close to a residential complex near the airport of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, a Boeing 757 crashed at about 5:30 a.m. Monday morning. Here and there people immediately looked toward Russia since evidence surfaced not long ago that Russia was conducting tests by sending explosive packages to Europe. But evidence for this slant is as yet non-existent.
