Trump gets turned down
A month before the presidential elections, Melania Trump, usually very discreet, publishes her memoirs. In her book entitled “Melania”, she reveals the details of how she met Donald Trump.
It was in 1998, during a Fashion Week party, that the former first lady felt her heart skip a beat… Donald Trump, accompanied by a blonde woman, approached her and started a conversation.
It was during this brief encounter that Melania felt a special connection with the former businessman. In an excerpt from her book, she explains how much Trump’s charm captivated her. “There was a lot of commotion around us, but his focused attention on our interaction made me feel like I was the center of his world. It was a refreshing change from usual conversations and I was drawn to his magnetic energy,” she writes.
That same evening, when Donald Trump asked her if he could have her phone number, the woman from Slovenia declined. A refusal that didn't fail to surprise the Republican (and which could have seriously damaged his ego). Eventualy, Melania, herself, asked for Trump’s number. The rest? They get married in 2005 and have a son, Barron, in 2006.
