UK sends scathing warning to Russia over spy ship: ‘We see you’
British Defense Secretary John Healey issued a grave warning to Moscow after a Russian spy ship was spotted in British territorial waters.
Speaking before Parliament, John Healey sent a clear message to Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin about the alleged incident.
"We see you. We know what you are doing. And we will not shy away from robust action to protect this country," he said.
Since the onset of the war in Ukraine, the United Kingdom has been among the leading providers of military aid to Kyiv. Just last week, Prime Minister Keir Starmer traveled to the Ukrainian capital to sign a historic 100-year agreement with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
John Healey accused the Russian vessel, Yantar, of gathering intelligence and mapping British underwater infrastructures.
He also said that the ship was operating under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Defense and described its presence in British waters as "another example of Russia's growing aggression."
