North Korean soldiers are starving and refuse to fight
Russia has deployed a general to the Kursk region following complaints from North Korean soldiers about insufficient food supplies.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, North Korean troops have been facing a shortage of rations, leading to growing discontent among the ranks.
"To solve the problem of hungry North Koreans, Russia sent Major General Mevlyutov, deputy commander for resource support of the Leningrad Military District, to the Kursk fields," the intelligence service said.
The Russian general has called for individual rations to be provided to the North Korean soldiers currently fighting in the Russian-controlled part of the region, some of which remains under Ukrainian control after a summer offensive.
Despite recent offensives, Russian and North Korean forces have so far been unable to retake the last Ukrainian strongholds in Kursk.
However, Ukraine has lost 40% of the territory it captured last summer, according to a report by Reuters.
