Putin's long-awaited speech
On December 19, the Russian president will give his “assessment of the year”, an opportunity to answer questions from the press and the general public alike.
Almost 3 years after the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and just as the Russian economy is beginning to lose steam, journalists and citizens alike will be able to question Vladimir Putin and “demand” some answers.
Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced that “the press conference will take place on December 19”. He added: “It will be attended mainly by foreign journalists (already) accredited in Russia (...), as well as several Western media.”
