Vladimir Putin’s secret fleet faces final blow from Joe Biden
Dozens of ships transporting Russian oil have been forced to drop anchor following the implementation of new sanctions against Moscow by Washington.
In the wake of the latest measures announced by Joe Biden before his departure from the White House on January 10, at least 65 oil tankers are now idling in international waters, according to Reuters.
Citing tracking data, the report reveals that these vessels are currently stationed off the coasts of China, Singapore, the Baltic Sea, and the Far East.
The U.S. Treasury’s sanctions specifically target Russia’s oil and natural gas industries, along with ships associated with Moscow’s so-called ‘shadow fleet.’
