Russia seizes fishing boats to launch offensive
The head of the military administration of the Kherson region, Oleksandre Prokoudine, told the Financial Times that the Russians had assembled 300 boats to cross the Dnipro river.
“Russia wants to carry out a new offensive,” he warned, adding that Russian drone attacks on Kherson and its settlements were becoming increasingly frequent. Since July, the Russian army has launched more than 9,500 drone attacks on the city, killing at least 37 civilians and wounding hundreds more.
A few weeks ago, the Ukrainian National Resistance Center reported that the Russians had begun seizing civilian boats at the end of November.
“In recent days, the Russians have organized a veritable roundup against private households. Not only boats and fishing boats are being selected, but also rubber dinghies,” said the center, assuring however that Russia "has no chance of retaking Kherson".
